Transmission Surge?!

I have a g37 sedan with the 7spd auto. When the transmission upshifts from say 3rd to 4th the motor revs a couple of hundred rpms before shifting to the next gear. It does this mostly when cold, but it has also done the same thing when it is fully warmed up. I have taken it to the dealer to get the reflash for the transmission, but it continues to do it. Is this normal?

Mention this to them again, and try to replicate it with a technician or service writer with you so they can get an idea of whats going on. From what I'm understanding, its not normal for free revs between shifts
