In teh mornings when I first start-up, I shift into reverse to back out of the carport. Then, of course, I shift into drive and there is a 3-5 second delay before it actually engages and starts moving forward. Once I've driven for awhile this delay disappears. Seems that my transmission needs to warm up? What do you guys think?

My 95Q does exactly the same thing. I read a post a few weeks back where someone suggested changing the fluid and filter(which might be clogged). I did that last week and it did not help one bit, still has that delay when cold. I did notice that if I shift directly into 1st gear, there is no delay so I'm thinking it's the overdrive gear that's affected.

I think you guys need to read some prevous of the posts and pay attention to the color of your ATF.

Anyone running an auxiliary ATF cooler (which is not the OEM heat exchanger - big difference!)? No? Not surprised. Ever mechanically exchange the ATF and drop the pan, clean and change the filte with a new O ringr? Ever change the external filter. Got any ideas now?
