It almost feels as if the car is trying to go faster but being held back. Gives me that bull in a cage type feel. I did have some mods done and have a tune that I think may need to be redone by Joe Wahl as I do seem to be running a bit rich still if that is the one where the black dust comes out the tailpipes when you get on it and leaves some smoot on pipes. Motor is great but it has that 2 second lag on take off that apparently getting a tune was suppose to get rid of but does not at least for me. To be honest these cars suck in hot weather because of the horrible engine design or engine bay where it builds up so much heat and kills the power. I rather only drive this car in fall and winter when temps are no higher than 75 degrees as that is when it performs best.
Yeah mine does that now as well. There is a pedal commander that one of my friends put on his 2016 Camaro SS to help with lag when hitting the pedal. he said that it works wonders for him. They even make it for our cars and is just a plug and play device. Thinking about getting one and seeing if it helps fix the lag issue.Ilya wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 11:52 amThat's why I spend 95% of my time in manual mode. I also have that slight second delay when mashing the gas in D...but my car takes off. I only have 'lag' when I'm coasting to a light or something and then it turns green and I try to give it gas...instead of dropping a gear the car stays in a higher gear and 'chugs'...but not always. It happens like once or twice a week. Very odd behavior.
Yep, that's my plan soon in another 10-15kmi.Malbec 56 Beast wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 3:00 pmChange all your fluids. Do a drain and fill on everything, if your car is an awd do the transfer case.

I may have used manual 1-2 times and noticed that the gear box does not shift past 3rd gear. Am I doing something wrong?Ilya wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 11:52 amThat's why I spend 95% of my time in manual mode. It won't shift until you hit certain MPH thresholds. You can't go from 1st to 4th doing 15mph, for example. Maybe you weren't going fast enough? Try using M on the highway...Larz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:24 pmI may have used manual 1-2 times and noticed that the gear box does not shift past 3rd gear. That is the plan to do next. Change transmission fluid and maybe rear axle fluid.Malbec 56 Beast wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 3:00 pmChange all your fluids. Do a drain and fill on everything, if your car is an awd do the transfer case.

I only let the dealership work on my car outside of the tire shop I use for alignments because they do a better job than the dealership. Either Infiniti or Nissan will be doing the transmission drain and refill.Malbec 56 Beast wrote: ↑Fri Jul 20, 2018 9:35 amDon't have just any shop change the fluid.
There is more to it then a simple dragon and fill.
If they have the right tech manuals and know the procedure but I don't feel comfortable having others do it. If you're comfortable then I am.
Don't wait to long, if it's heat related do it asap.
