Hello, I'm in Japan and have a 90 Q's Silvia with a CA18DE. The shift from 1st to 2nd is a little jerky and I wondered what to do to fix it. I've used the machine where you pump fresh transmission fluid in, start the car and put it in each gear for 5 seconds, then pump that fluid out and new back in. It shifted better for a day or so then back to the way it was. It shifts perfect after I get up to highway speed, or after I run the engine up to about 6 grand but when it's cold it shifts a little late and not smooth at all. Does anyone know what else to do or is this typical among Nissan automatics?
