Transmission Shifter Problem, Please help!!

OK, so the other day I changed the clutch in my 82 Datsun 720 4x4, and during the process I removed the pin and bolt with spring from the shifter and moved it back (thinking I shouldn't have done this), changed the clutch, reinstalled transmission, and now I cannot for the life of me get the shifter to work properly! I think it slipped out of sync or something. Its like I can get it in a certain way, but it will not go over to 3rd 4th 5th or reverse. It was working properly before I changed the clutch. The clutch is engaging correctly, but its like its in neutral. I have tried everything! Someone please help, I know there is someone out there who knows the answer to this.
