I was wanting to turbo my 240 and was talking to a guy who used to be a nissan mechanic and he brought up the issues of the transmission and drivetrain holding up . Has anyone had any problems with their transmission and what kind of power do you have? Does anyone know what kind of power the rearend and trans can handle? Thanks for all your input we were just wondering.

people use the stock stuff well above 400 hp reliably (over twice the stock power level).with slicks and that kind of power, axles tend to break, but companies are starting to make aftermarket ones. The synchros in the transmission are relatively weak and will go bad if you hammer the **** out of your gearbox, but thats true for a stock 240 as well. The box itself is apparently pretty sturdy and can withstand a ton of power, especially if you treat it gently.
