i'm in the process of doing an sr swap and found that when i jack up the front of the car the transmission leaks out the back with the driveshaft in it. so i was told by by some guys i trust to replace it. the new seal fits snug on the driveshaft like it should im guessing so oil doesn't leak out. when the driveshaft was in it looked like the seal, old one, was to big for the driveshaft. anyway, i go to pull out the old seal and it wont come out. i finally got the insideof it out but teh outter part of the seal is hard as rock and it wont come out. what can i do to get it out? heres a pic if it helps

yeah, but its stuck on there hardcore. you can see scracthes on teh transmission from me trying that already. i'm asking if there is a way to help it come out. like would heating with a heat gun do anything for example, or do i just have to keep picking at it and hope for the best.

See if you can get your hands on either of these at an autoparts store, or a tool rental store.http://www.bigscaryjeep.com/Bi...2.jpg http://www.v6z24.com/mods/howto/images/ ... 4.jpgThose should do the job.
