will the turbo 300zx transmission work in a j30 as well as the na transmission, or will just the na transmission work?

it should bolt up, but im not sure if the gearing is different. also, the TCU would need to be replaced with the TT's TCU.

I believe the TT transmission is different than the NA and thus the J's. The TT unit is more robust. I may be mistaken but I think it uses the Q's transmission. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

the tt and Q use the same internals on their auto trannys, but the tt is bellhoused for the VG, and the q's for the VH.

the TT trans will NOT bolt to a Q.

as far as the TT trans on a J, the trans will bolt up, but the torque convertor will most likely not work.

you would most likely need the drive plate, torque convertor, and transmission for the TT.

What about a manuel tt trans, clutch, flywheel and pressure plate with the pedal assembly and slave cylinder out of my r32 clip--not trying to be difficult I just picked up a j30 for cheap w/ a blown trans and want to know my options.

no tcu required than right?

if your gonna go manual, your gonna need this-[tt and na use identical manual trans. with the exception of the starter mount location. the tt uses a larger flywheel, and so the starter is placed farther away from the center]

parts-z32 na trans, flywheel, clutch, pilot bushing, slave cylinder, starter.

driveshaft will most likely need to be lengthened. you may need to extend the shifter, linkage to line up with the custom hole you have to cut in the transmission tunnel for the shifter. you gonna have to make a shifter boot also.
