transmission question

Hi -

I have brought my car in a few times because my car doesn't kick into gear at the right time it it almost like the the transmission doesn't catch up to the accelerator. It almost jolts into gear. I have brought it in a few times and they said it was fine. A friend borrowed my car and mentioned it to me (w/o me even mentioning it)

Any idea what it could be?

Welcome to NICO! Need some info...what year is your car, how many miles, and manual or AUTO (sounds like AUTO...but you never know)
