transmission question

I have a Std. 240sx and im trying to swap the engine n transmission to a sr20det.Question is: are the transmissions the same for a stock 240sx (dunno the engine type)? Can i Just swap engines?

Other question i have is that whats better? a s13 sr20det engine , or a stock engine , non turbo but restored and with racing pistons/parts? completely built.clutch, flywheel, etc etc.

i believe the transmissions are the same but bellhousings are different you would need to swap bellhousings. and an sr20 would be better then a stock ka with aftermarket pistons unless you do alot of work. if your keeping the stock motor go ka-t.

Depends what's "better" for your taste. Built N/A isn't going to come anywhere close to making the same power, and it'll be expensive as hell.
