Transmission Question

Has anyone ever thought about using a rear mounted transaxle such as the Posche 968 6 speed or the C-5 Corvette 6 speed with a heavier engine (RB25, 1JZ, 2JZ) in order to somewhat even out the weight? What kind of problems would be part of doing this? Thanks, just wondering.

P.S.- What is the freaking difference between regular gearbox and getrag?

I have no idea. I know you would have to have custom bellhousing, driveshaft, etc etc made. It would be expensive

If you have enough money for an RB you should have enough money for some custom fabs as well
