transmission question?

ok i was wondering i have a sr20det and was wondering is there another way to fill the transmission other than the plug on the side the reason i ask is i recall someone saying you can fill it from the shifter thanks

Yea, just remove your center console, unbolt the inner boot, undo the dust seal, and use a snap-ring pliers to remove the snap ring that holds the shifter in place. Then pour the oil into the hole.

Sounds like a lot, but I find it to be a TON easier than trying to fill using the plug in the side.

DO NOT OVERFILL YOUR transmission. Only 2.4 Liters into the SR Transmission. Remove the Oil fill plug as a safe keep because in the FSM, the oil level should be RIGHT below that plug.
