Transmission question for S13 fastback

I have a question for a transmission replacement on a 1993 240sx. I was double checking to make sure that it was possible to use a manual transmission from a 1989 240sx... I am working on buying shell 240sx that needs a new trnsmission and brake and clutch pedals... other than that it is in great shape!!

Make sure to swap your bellhousing from the 93 onto the 89. You will see how easy this makes things.

is there a reason for swapping the bellhousing for a 95-98? maybe some sort of sensor? edumacate me. i know they will bolt up just fine.
