Ok my CA motor is in my engine with the bolts on the mounts loose so I can adjust the transmission when bolting it on. I am running into alot of problems. I was wondering if someone could help me out. Seems like my 5speed KA driveshaft is too short, I took out that gold ring by the output shaft because it wasnt clearly the diff. Now it seems like it's too short. Also, seems like my motor is sitting really unusual. It's leaning towards the coldside alot, and it's all the way back into the firewall, really flush.

Now I came to the conclusion that my transmission is from a different CA18, not ca18det rwd. The mounts I used: 1 CA located on the coldside, and 1 KA mount located on the hotside ( reason being the nut from below the motor mount is totally stripped ) so I left it there. So is the KA mount affecting this misfitment? The transmission?

Do you have a manual or auto drive shaft? The manual is too short which could be the problem. If you are using a KA mount and a CA mount that is why it is sitting weird. The KA mount is like an inch taller which causes the lean.

I think you mean the auto driveshaft is too short. The 5spd KA driveshaft fits fine.
