Just a pet-peeve of mine, but if you are having transmission problems, it is VERY IMPORTANT to post the YEAR and MILEAGE of your vehicle, and if possible, the transmission code from the door panel.
The reason we need this is because Nissan has made many changed to the CVT transmissions from 2003-2007, and yes, the 2003-2004ish transmissions had a very high failure rate. Same goes for transfer case problems. Seeing a bunch of posts saying "Yeah, umm, I have a Murano and my transmission is broken; is this normal? Nissan SUCKS." does not help anyone to determine not only why it failed, but also doesn't help track trends relating to specific model years and revisions. I bought my Murano knowing the transmission was a soft spot; I just love CVT transmissions, and the Murano was a damn good vehicle otherwise. Please, help us help you!
