sounds like your clutch master or slave blew out, its no big deal to replace, the hardest part of it all is bleeding it, and its more of a pain then difficult. check the pasanger side of the transmission and the clutch master cylinder fluid level, if either of them are leaking/down on fluid, you need to find the source of the leak and replace the part.

but the funny thing is I just went out, and the clutch its not all the way up, but the car is driveable again, and only when it heats up it has problems, could it be the master cylinder or the slave?

You have to see if your leaking any fluid out first. Look to see where the leak is coming from and then that is the part you have to replace.

i wouldnt drive it like that, when they start to leak it will go downhill very quickly to the point of not being able to shift your car at all, not good at all. i would be willing to bet its your slave cylinder, take a good look while someone pumps your clutch pedal.

slave cyl is pretty cheap so why not give it a shot? its so common of a failure. be sure to remove the damper box while you are down there. if you dont know about that just do a search as we have defined it pretty well.

i looked today and I dont have any leaks, could it be that I got air in my lines and I need to bleed the system, what fluid does the 240 take in the clutch cylinder, and what is the best brand? some one told me just any gear oil is that right? thanks

get dot3 or dot4 brake fluid for the clutch system.

gear oil is for inside the trans and even then it needs to be a gl-4 oil.

very possible that you need to bleed the air out. its just like bleeding brakes and the bleeder even looks the same.

yes, brake fluid ONLY and make sure it comes from a sealed and clean container, anything else in there will damage the system
