Everytime i clutch, i hear grinning sound. I cant put in gears, and i just discovered a patch of oil underneath my transmission. what could be the cause of this problem?

Sounds like a bad pilot bearing or throw out bearing. When the clutch is in, they should be the only things spinning.

Oil means your rear main seal is leaking. It could be leaking on your flywheel which could be a reason why you cant get it into gear. As mention from the previous post, the throw out bearing is likely to be the cause of the grinding noise. So either way you'll need to take the transmission off and inspect it. But if theres oil then its definitely the rear main seal.
