Does it only do this at 70 or does it slip or behave oddly at lower speeds as well?

I think there was some kind of TSB about transmission issues on 2000s and early 2001s, maybe someone else can shed more light on this.

Did you personally check it, or you assuming that the shop did it correctly. Personally, I always double check everything that a shop does on my car.

Is this a manual transmission? If so it sounds like a bad clutch. Get it replaced before you get stuck on the road and need to pay for a tow.

2001 I30s never offered a manual.

My bad, sorry. Transfer case maybe? I don't know anything about automatic transmission's. Other than the fact they need service a lot more often and are more exxpnsive to service most of the time. The manual transmission is nearly bullet proof.

They don't have transfer cases it is just a Transaxle.

This is the only transmission TSB I have seen:

Slow or delayed shifting from first to second gear or from second to third gear (particularly at one-half throttle or greater application) may call for a new solenoid valve assembly (TSB classification AT001-004a, reference ITB00-028a, Dec. 2000).

Hay guys I thank you for all of the help, but all it was is the mass air sensor. I wouldnt think that have any effect on the trans. But i would like to thank you all for the info.
