Transmission Problem- 99 G20

When it is cold outside and the engine is cold, the transmission will lock uo when you go to stop. Act like a manual transmission if you didn't push in the clutch. Have replaced the solinoid and torque converter. Dealership wanted $4000 to replace transmission. Problem goes away if you warm up the engine first. Shifts fine in warmer weather (50 degrees +). Thinking it may be wiring or Trans Controller. Anyone else run into this?

$4000 to replace the transmission. Jesus, I'm in the wrong business. You could find a used transmission and replace it yourself for less than $500. I have no clue what is causing the problem, I'm a manual transmission guy.

Did U make Sure U Have the Correct Trans Fluid in It? (if U replaced it & it was Ok in the warm weather)Also it may B A problem with the valve body (valve hanging) Not the Whole Trans. I would get a 2nd Opinion if it does need a transmission!
