I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 with 57,500 miles. I bought the vehicle when it was 3 years old with 41,000 mi. From the maintenance records I can see that it was a lease with periodic maintenance and oil changes. I would like to hear other pathfinder owners views on flushing of transmission, front and rear transaxle, and transfer case maintenance. I would like to at least change the transmission fluid but want to hear from others before doing so. I have had no problems with the transmission at this time.

I recommend changing all of thosefluids... If its got a fluid it can be replaced and you want to replace it...

DO IT!

Sounds good. Thanks for the quick reply. Does anyone have any feedback on whether or not to drain and fill the transmission or do a flush at a jiffy lube. I believe I shouldn't have a problem doing a drain and fill since I have access to the base auto hobby shop (retired Air Force). Also, is there any procedures published on how to do the drain and fill on an 01 pathfinder?

Lot of great info at 4x4parts.com , forum , R50 section , FAQ's They say to use ATF in the transfer case (if you have an auto)
