what is the best kind of transmission, brake, and power steering fliud to use. if i use synthetic, do i need to drain/bleed the brake lines, pwr steering lines, etc?

brakes yes you should flush completely out the old stuff. Doesn't matter if you're switching to synthetic or not, get out all the old stuff. Personally I use ATE super blue and switch with type 200 to check over the colors. The motul RBF soaks up water like a sponge. I'd recommend staying away from that. If you've got oodles of money to spend, get the Castrol SRF. It'll cost you alot but it's amazing.

transmission I use Redline MT90. Some guys use the Redline Shockproof, but they didn't have that at my local race shop so MT-90 it is. GL-4 only!!! You'll still need to drain this anyway.

Power steering, just use regular old dexron III ATF. I use the castrol stuff but doesn't make much difference as long as it's dexron III ATF.
