Anyone know where I change the transmission filter on a 92 Maxima SOHC, looked underneath and couldnt see the trans pan.

Welcome to NICO.

The transmission pan should be on the driver's side, just inside the front wheel.

If you are not comfortable with doing it yourself, any repair shop should be able to do it for you.

Thank you, I now see it. Looks more than my expertise can deal with. Have you tackled this yourself? If so can you give me info into what it entails.

I've never done a filter change myself.You may find something useful in the Auto Trans section of the FSM, here: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/maxima/1994 ... ecifically, look to page 186.

We're lucky enough to have a drain plug on our pan, unlike many cars, which makes dropping the pan MUCH less messy.
