I saw a 93 240sx for sale with automatic transmission, but it needs transmission oil pump. He said it would cost him 700 but I am sure I could get it cheaper than that and install it myself. Do you guys know where I can find one and do you also know where I can find info on how to install it myself. Thanks.

I think there are several pumps in the transmission. Your best bet to get one is through a transmision shop. I don't know if you could do it yourself. I think it may require special tools but I am not sure. The biggest problem you will run into is if the pump filled the transmission with its broken parts.

there is a front and a rear pump in the auto transmission...The pumps can be found at any transmission shop, or you can get one from a used transmission for about $30.
