ok...i looked at everything i could find on here about my problem with not much help. i have red top sr, cusco soild motor mounts and nismo transmission mount. my problem is the crossmember sets about 1/2 in too far back to line up to the holes in the bottom of the car. the motor mounts are not bolted down and have no play anyway. the crossmember is correct and was on the car and fit before i took the engine out again. my friend suggested i lift the motor out a bit and bolt it down then lower it back in. if that doesnt work any other suggestions? i tried to pull one side and bolt it up then do the other side but that failed. and i really dont know what else to do. if nothing else ill try to put the old mount back on just to see if that will line up but i doubt it. maybe i missed something...i dont know. hopefully someone has had this happened and figured it out cuz i just cant.... thank you.

unbolt the tran crossmember mount, and get the engine mounts in first.

then worry about the tran mount, pics would go really well with this.

also much easier to sort out if this motor has no accessories or harness and you can really look around. I have a feeling its something so obvious its stupid because motors dont stretch by an inch.

I ran into the same problem with my swap, I used nismo trans/motor mounts. All I did was take the cross member and drill it out about 1/2" to 3/4" and then it bolted right in. I had to do it the poor ghetto way by using a very small drill bit (i.e. 1/4" or so) and just went full speed and moved the drill side to side to shave out the mounting holes on the cross member.
