I was offered a s13 with 136k 1 owner for 1300. So of course i took it. The car doesn't shift til almost 4k and it feels like a person who can't drive stick is driving. The person gave me a second transmission (Both auto) and said i just need to replace the control module. I searched the boards for Transmission module and one of the threads said the module is in the passenger side kick?

Can someone please tell me the location of the transmission module and about how much it would cost for a new module? (Sorry to sound stupid, i just don't know to much especially abouts transmissions.)

i've got a stick shift, but you'll be in the right area when u pull off the passenger side kick panel...see da ECU?

ok, then you'll see the control module above it!

did you also check the dropping resistor on the driver side fenderwall? as noted on the FAQs on http://www.240sx.org ?

there's also a whole mess of trouble code scan u can do on the car before u start throwing parts @ it...

if u go near cherry hill NJ, I can let u borrow my FSM
