Long Story short.
I have a 93 240sx hatch and I recently rebuilt the Ca18det motor. However, after installing the motor I had some issues with electrical problems so I took it to a local shop to have them fix it. Before taking it to the shop I only drove it once and that was 77miles from my friends garage where the motor was built to the shop in Raleigh. After getting the motor back in running condition I drove it back 20 miles to my house. Upon driving I immediatly noticed that something about the tranmission was not right.
It started off with a strange rattleing noise coming which seemed to be coming from the clutch or transmission (which was noticed on the drive to the shop initially as well). Then as I kept driving it I noticed that it would grind when I tried to put it into 2nd and third. It then got to the point where shifting in and out of every gear would make it grind.
However, the weird thing is that the clutch is a fairly used Spec clutch and has not had too many miles on it before hand. Upon inspec tion I noticed that the clutch fluid was alittle low, however, I dont think that would have much to do with it. I was thinking it may be the pilot bushing, or throw out bearing. But then again I am not too sure.
Does anyone have any advice.
Thanks.
