I'm looking for a 05 Pathy transmission 4x2 V6 (No offroad package), I found one from an 06 Pathy 4x2 v6 w/ no off road package, the junkyard is telling me they're different... How is this so??? The cars have the same motor and features I don't see why wouldn't they work....

Looking at the FSM, they both use the RE5R05A transmission, but their "transmission code model number" is different, whatever that means. They have identical gear ratios. But whether that means it'll fit, I have no clue!

Maybe call your local Nissan dealer? Perhaps the parts dept would know.

See I don't know if it's one of those things like....

The G35 has different sensors for each production date, they really did change the transmission a billion times each year... That's why Junkyards say they're not interchangeable

Or it could be like my 4th gen maxima... We all know the 95-01 5MTs work fine on our cars but the Junkyards list them differently 95, 96, 97-99, 00 and 01 are all supposedly different.... They're not.

I'll have to spend some time @ the parts dept. they're rarely helpful.
