how's it going. having trouble stabbing tranny back to engine due to the new guide sleeve on the spindle shaft of the trany. I tapped the new sleeve into the fly wheel now it's a really tight fit. Any tips whould be greatly appreciated.it's a 1984 720 datsun kingcab short bed z24...

It shouldn't be a tight fit, did you use the clutch alignment tool?

I did use the tool w/ the clutch kit i got. it was also tight to fit.the pilot sleeve fit good on the alignment tool before i placed it inthe center of the fly wheel. I did get it in far enough for alignment.

As long as the alignment tool tip was the same size as the transmission input shaft tip, then it should be good, but if its not just fitting perfect, don't force it.

When you changed the sleeve, did you clean out the hole in the crankshaft? If not the sleeve could be bent or damaged thus closing in the hole. This would cause it to be tight.

true or just use wd-40... lube that bad boy then stick it in the hole
