ok so first off i replaced the clutch in my ka24e with an exedy stock clutch. put a new pilot bushing in, new tob, new rear main, and im pretty sure i got everything in correctly. lined up the clutch wiht the alignment tool, put the tob back on the fork and the fork is still on the ball blah blah blah.

ok so me and my 2 roommates go to put the transmission back in. we get the transmission all the way in but theres like a 1/2 inch gap between the bell housing and motor. is it not lining up properly? or could it be hitting something? any help would be greatly appreciated

1/2" gap is normal

1-Use a bolt on each side to mate the trans and engine fully. You may have to use a longer bolt/washers.

2-Two guys(sometimes 1 guy) Lift the tail of trans and rotate it right and left while pushing it in. It will eventually line up to zero gap.

Yeah, if it is down to 1/2 inch gap, you are pretty much golden. Just push on that sucker as hard as you can. I find it is easy if you bolt the tranmission cross member to the chassis, but you do not do up the bolts that connect the transmission to the cross member. that way it is much less exhausting because you don't have to constantly support the back of the transmission when you are trying to line it up.
