Hi, New here... I'm building up a 65 320 from a couple of parts trucks (both 65s, one E1 4 spd column shift, the other a J15 4 spd floor shift).

Transmission has me stumped. 4 speed floor shift that was bolted to a J15 in one of the trucks. Didn't work because the clutch disk was a 24 tooth and a bit too large for the transmission's 20 tooth shaft...just spun inside the hole. Clutch disk is 200mm. #'s on transmission are No 4 5-29 and 6-4-1 ???? Looked to be a stock transmission installation as mounts are not modified. Just don't know what to ask for when I go looking for a clutch disc. I'll try to post a photo of the transmission but am having trouble making that happen. Thanks for any help on this!

BTW, I have the complete column shift transmission setup including all shift linkage, mount plate, clutch and transmission that I won't be using if anyone's interested....let me know. I drove this 300 miles just before I disassembled the truck so I know it all functions well. I'm committed to the floor shift now...otherwise, I might use it myself. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

....turns out that the transmission was originally bolted to a J13. Found a 'dimensionally correct' disc on ebay today. Looks as though it will work fine...we'll see. It matches the part # in the 320 manual and is correct diameter and tooth count....7 7/8" (200mm) with 20 teeth. NAPA and CarQuest did not have clutch info that far back. Will post with part numbers once I receive the disc.
