Ok First off,

I did a clutch job on my car about 2 months ago and have daily driven the car just a bit, not all over town but casual mileage. Anyways. My friend gave me an OEM replacement Exedy clutch kit but it didnt come with a throwout bearing. When we did it last time we just went ahead and used the old throwout bearing so now i'm guessing that whatever is wrong with it is because of that. When the clutch is disengaged and it idles in neutral the transmission makes this wierd noise like something is loose and jumping around inside. Since the clutch is practically new i'm almost positive it's not the clutch, also we've never had problems with the transmission either, it has always shifted into gear just fine and still does. If anyone knows if the bearing is 100% the problem because you've experienced it then please let me know. All of a sudden (a day after we started hearing the noise) We were on the highway and the clutch slipped and over revvd the motor so we pulled over and then basically limped it back home.

ok aside from that I've been working on getting my transmission pulled out of my car. Car is up on stands and all the electrical wires/plugs are detatched. I'm having a problem getting the bolts/nuts off that are located where the rear of the transmission and the driveshaft meet. i think there's about 6 or 8 does anyone know of any techniques to get these damn things loose?

please email me at [email protected] if you have any ideas!

Can't say if it's the throwout bearing or not, but there are no bolts where the transmission and the driveshaft meet, it just slides into place. If you mean the bolts that hold the bellhouse to the engine, then I only used 1/2" and 3/8" ratchets and some extensions, as well as using a pipe to jack up under the car to push the ratchets, as seen in the 5-speed write up for S14's.
