Okay heres the deal i have a 91 Nissan 240sx (ka24de) I was towing it in nuetral with the rear wheels down and when i was trying to bring it down it wouldnt go in reverse. So we pushed it off thinking it might just be stuck but it wasnt. It just didnt go in reverse so we put it in drive and it drove right back up there fine. Well any ways now my car will only go up to 2000 rpms in park, will not go in reverse, and is driveable in the neutral gear. Is my transmission out or is it sumtin else. Please help me.

you never tow anything with the drive wheels on the ground, for any considerable distance. [more than 10 miles or more than 40 mph]

ive driven a tow truck for years, the transmission is probably shot.

#1. Welcome to NICO

#2. Wrong section. This is the Q45 forum. The one you would normally use would be the 240sx forum or Nissan Online Mechanic.

#3. It sounds like you killed your transmission. You should never tow a vehicle with its drive wheels down, ever.

Very common, it doesn't take 10 miles nor is under 40 mph safe.

The transmission pump is driven from the input shaft - no engine running no ATF circulation.

In an emergency situation, if you cannot disconnect the driveshaft, you should tow slowly with the car running and in neutral. And you can still do damage.

I'll move this to Nissan Online Mechanic.

no doubt that damage could be done sooner [10 miles or 40 mph]

i ALWAYS tow with the drive wheels off the ground, unless its wrecked and i have no other options.
