Transmission G35

While putting my car in park, the shifter slipped and went to the manual shifter, but when I went to put it back, its stuck in neutral between drive and drive manual. the middle of the H. any help at all, 2003 G35 sedan 92000 miles.

Try removing the finisher piece, check for any problems. There are two plastic ends that hold in firmly in place and if one somehow was to break it could have lodged itself in between preventing you from switching back up to park.

Before you can pull off the finisher piece, you will have to pull off the gear shift knob. slide the black piece down, remove clip, and lift.

be careful so you dont break anything, and know that there are several wires connected to the bottom so it may be a little tight as you pull it off. Its good to have it in neutral or drive if you plan to remove completely.
