I recently put a used transmission in my 02 Maxima (auto). It had 15k miles on it and my car had 74k. My car is now at 80k and I was wondering is it better to flush or drain & fill?

Going into 2nd is kinda slow but the rest of the gears are fine. There isn't any flaring or anything.

The flush is just that. Think of your toilet. When you pull the handle, new water comes flooding in and replaces the dirty water. That's how a flush works.

Now for the drain and fill. Think of it as emptying a can of pop. When you empty it, there's always that last little bit of liquid in there that you just can't seem to get out of there. That's how a drain and fill works. There will always be that last little bit that you can't get to.

Haha I like the analogy's MaximA32... but If the transmission you put in really only had 15k on it i dont know i would worry about it.. it could help i guess though..Where did you get it and how sure are you its only 15k?
