Is it good to get your transmission flush and fluid change the car has 209000 miles on it the fluid is dark i just change the Vehicle Speed sensor there was dirt on it the car runs good i heard its not good to do it if you don't change the fluid when your post evertime. what is the best fluid to use



i'm thinking about taking it to pep boys to get it change are they a good place to take it and around how much do they charge

Yes the transmission fluid does need to be change periodically. When was the last time it was changed? I personally do not like the idea of getting it changed at an auto parts store, but that is just me. The type of fluid for trannys is as cumbersome as picking motor oil. If it was me just get some synthetic transmission fluid and use.

i don't know when the last time it was change> i just got the car couple weeks ago
how hard is it to do it your self? im new to nissan cars don't now much about them i have change tran fluid in other cars before

Look at the fsm at www.nicoclub.com/FSM
It's not that hard but look at the service manual

I would try to find out if it was changed recently

If you can't find out then be safe and change it.
