k im kinda confused. I read some sites and maxima owners manuel say to check the fluid with the car at normal operating tempeature and while the car is on? Ok it is normal but im kinda worried because when i check it with the car cold, it shows like WAY to high, like half the dipstick. . Is that ok? As long as its normal when the car is on?

yep, that's why it's supposed to be checked when engine and transmission are warmed up and running (engine). when cold/off it'll read high.
