3.75 quarts, and it's easy to change it. Maybe 1 hour if you're going slow :)

just goto any parts store... they'll tell u 2 use mercon/dexron. disregard the class II/III/IV/V. but i believe the higher class is synthetic.

just don't get type F auto transmission fliud.

PS: don't over torque those pan bolts or you'll have a leak.

2 easy

Thanx, thats what i did, but when i went there were 3 different kinds of filters used in 89 and the guy told me you cant tell until you remove so i couldnt do it today. Ill try to get it done next week. Do you know what the torque specs are?

if u haven't done so, do it...worth the wait of my modemhttp://www.nissaninfiniticlub....anual

BTW, 3 different kinds of transmission kits? oh well, here's the torque specs

oil screen/filter bolts 61-78 inch-lbspan bolts 43-70 inch-lbs (do this in a sequence, like doing a valve cover)

3/8" drive torque wrench is handy...see if your local parts slinger has this as a free loaner tool.

Just buy all 3 sets n the loaner...return what u don't need.

PS: mods...sticky on the "online manual" request.... its betta than nothing. oh autozone.com has other makes of car manuals online as well.

Figured I'd post this question here rather than starting a new thread.

I'm having problems with my speedometer ("sticky" until I hit a bump, then sticky again until another bump). After reading some posts on here, I decided to check the speed sensor. The good news is that the speed sensor looks great (fins are in good condition, spins freely, etc...didn't have the capability to check the voltage yet).

The thing that concerns me is that the posts here lead me to believe that pulling the sensor out was going to be messy. When I pulled mine out, a single drop of transmission fluid came out - nothing more.

I checked the fluid level and it seems fine. What gives? Is the back of the transmission supposed to be dry? Somehow, I'm doubting it and I'm beginning to wonder if I should still be driving it like this.

Thanks in advance for any help.

J
