Transmission filler plug

anyone know what size wrench fits it.

12 or 14 mm can't remember exact size

i'm guessing it's a 17,18, or 19mm. i don't know for sure. smaller than a 3/4 and larger than a 16mm. it sucks having to go the the parts store for a wrench and bringing home the wrong size. a socket won't work. it's one of those square head nuts (i believe it's a flare nut, is this right?).

oh my bad, i was thinking of the oil plug.But I believe it is 17mm.

a cresent wrench would probly work with a hammer. i need something with a little more leverage.

the drain plug was a pain to get off. the guy i bought my 90 240 from didn't take very good care of it. the gear oil looked like my coffee after i put like 6 creamers in it. a good little bit of metal was on the magnet to.

Atleast you didn't find a piece of a gear tooth... that is off my friends 91 transmission, I did a swap with him coz my 93 transmission was grinding in 3rd gear due to syncros and his 91 had lower miles. He did an SR swap and had no need for it.

yup 17mm, had to use my freakin foot to get the thing off. glad i didn't take the head off. that would have sucked bad!! anyway only 6 more months until i get my red top. so stoked. i love when you get enough back on your taxes.
