Last week we fitted a VH41DE and trans from a Cima front cut into my Cedric. After problems with the differences in looms it is mostly done, drives well except for the following:

I have a problem with the transmission power/snow light flashing when ignition is turned on, and rough gear changes - sort of hangs back and then lurches into gear.

Second issue is the Cima had Cruise Control and Traction Control, whereas my Cedric does not. The check engine light is on all the time, and when we check the engine fault codes its coming up with an error on the traction control as expected. Does anyone know how to trick the ECU into thinking the TC system is fine?

Why not just add it? ECU expects to see it.

Did you change out the TCU also?

I do have it, but not installed as many wires from the TPU went to the rear, where the wires were all cut off with a front cut..

We just connected up the ABS bypassing the TPU.
