transmission/drive train question

the engine on this car is the same as a 300 zx auto. is the transmission the same. i may need to replace my flywheel if it is warped and unable to be shimmed. has any looked into this ? Please let me know i may be looking at buying a perf. flywheel from a 300 zx. i know it will fit on the engine, i am just worried bout the transmission.

Welcome to NICO!! the trans is the same, be sure its from the N/A Z32 though.

ok cool that is what i thought. i just wanted to make sure. Furthermore does any1 know if the auto transmission on a tt 300zx is the smae as the auto trans in the non t 300zx ? i know the gear ratios for the 300zx and the j30 must be different. or are they ?

the twin turbo and N/A trans are different.. N/A and J30 use RE4R01A and Q45 and TT use RE4R03A.. the 3A is a beefier version, and have different torque converters and tail shafts.
