Transmission Crack

I just installed an SR in my 240 and right where the speed sensor is, on the thin metal there is a hairline crack and it is leaking gear oil. I tried putting some gasket goo on it but it obviously never had a chance to dry and it kept leaking. Is there anything I can use to seal up the crack while the oil is still in there? Whats the most ideal way of solving the problem?
