I just installed an SR in my 240 and right where the speed sensor is, on the thin metal there is a hairline crack and it is leaking gear oil. I tried putting some gasket goo on it but it obviosuly never had a change to dry and it kept leaking. Is there anything I can use to seal up the crack while the oil is still in there? Whats the most ideal way of solving the problem?

drain the trans, clean the area to be repaired thuroughly, use a harner such as jb weld to permanantly seal the leak.wait 24hrs for it to dry and then refill the trans.
