Does anyone know if the VQ35 3.5L six speed will bolt onto the VQ30dek 3.0L block?
Thanks,

Since the VQ35 bolts up to the 5spd, I would think the opposite would hold true. I don't know that the crank sensor timing ring on the 6spd is compatable with the VQ30DEK electronics.

Isn't the crank position sensor on the timing chain side of the engine on the VQ30? The bolt pattern/bellhousing/ flywheel compatibility is what I was mainly concerned with either way. And if a 3.0 transmission can bolt to the 3.5, I don't see why, like you said, the opposite wouldn't hold true. I wasn't aware of either being done though, so thanks.

There are two. One by the crank (REF), and the other at the bell housing (POS).
