Moving '01.5 auto-locking to '01 without

I bought a cherry 2001 QX4 as a replacement for my very rusty (but daily-driven) 2001.5. As I'm moving over bits and bobs like interior-color window switch panels (the '01's are black) I wanted to know what the autolock/unlock feature entails and if it can be moved over as well.

Similarly I'm looking to move over heated seats (at least the driver's). I'm swapping the center console, seat heating elements and the wiring (hopefully) but it seems VERY involved. Wondering about the cost/benefit analysis from anyone that's done it.

The lock functions were all controlled by the SEC, and the Auto is probably a software function. You might make that work just by swapping SEC's from the '01.5 to the '01.

The heated seats aren't complicated (3 circuits plus power and ground) but you'll probably need to run your own wires out to the switches and seats, I doubt they'll exist on your '01. You can see the layout on EL-186 here:
