That long blink at first kinda throws me off... not sure if that's the first flash or the separator between sequences. the movie starts with that flash, I filmed the entire sequence 3 times.
But if indeed the first one is just a separator, number 10 is the long flash which would indicate the turbine revolution sensor.
According to this very very long thread,
94-240-conv-with-at-shift-problems-t96505.html though it's for a 240SX, the revolution sensor can be disconnected and the speed sensor will provide the necessary info for the transmission to shift. Not sure if the J is wired the same way or if it'll work. The symptoms though are about the same.
