OK, I imagine this has been answered many times but I spent a reasonable amount of time looking at posts and couldn't find it ? I just took my 2010 Frontier to the dealer for my "free" yearly State inspection. I have the extended warranty good until fall 2018. Everything passed but I was told the automatic transmission and differentials needed serviced to avoid warranty issues if they fail. I did the differentials myself. The dealer said they flush the transmission, there is no filter to change. Quoted me $200 material, labor, and getting rid of old fluid. I am reading mixed reviews on this flush. Most negative as it seems sometimes it damages the transmission. I priced the Nissan fluid and at $11.61 a quart $200 doesn't seem outragious. It seems many just drain and add what fluid comes out every couple years ? I would appreciate some input on what direction to go.

Maybe see what local mechanics or lube shops can service your transmission for a better price. I think Jiffy Boob is like 60 bucks. Just make sure they use the correct fluid type. Be thankful you don't have a CVT!
