transition noise

I have been noticing for quite some time that when I shift my 2011 into gear, particularly reverse, it makes a clicking sound. It also does this when going from reverse into drive. I otherwise have no difficulties with my transmission (7 AT) or driveline. I had my regular mechanic look at it and said the noise is definitely coming from the differential, and while he has not really come across it in other cars, he doesn't know if that is just a typical noise for Inifinitis. I am at 56k so if it is a warranty issue I need to bring it in soon. Has anyone else experienced a similar noise?

I have never noticed that with my 2011 EX35 with the 7AT but I will keep an ear out for it, and let you know if I notice something.
