I'm having issues with my 2014 Nissan Versa, CVT transmission. At high speeds (around 65-70 mph), the car jerks occasionally. It's fine at lower speeds (20-30 mph), but the jerking happens about 10% of the time. I got it checked at a Nissan dealer, and they found a diagnostic trouble code P2859, indicating a 'Clutch 'A' Pressure Disengagement Performance' error. They suggested replacing the entire transmission, which costs $5500
I initially postponed the repair due to the high cost. However, a week later, the check engine light came on, and now I'm not sure what to do.
I'm looking for advice on a more affordable solution. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
