Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there is anyone in the forum who has experience with transmission re-programming kits. I ran into this interesting link:
http://www.txchange.com/transgo.htm
Re-programming apparently is another method to reach the same goals as modifying the valve body. Or am I wrong?
Any insight would be helpful. I own a 1993 Z32 turbo and I want to upgrade my automatic transmission. My goals are:
- faster shifts- better acceleration- improved overall performance- increased durability- able to handle big horsepower
According to the folks from Transgo the re-programming kit is the way to go.
Now, I browsed through this forum and read some interesting posts, most notably the ones posted by the guy from IPT. His forum handle is Transdude. He and the other guys who seem to know a lot about the RE4RO3A talk mostly about valve body mods. Nobody mentions re-programming. Is it just a gimmick and is valve body work the way to do it correctly?
Your input would be greatly appreciated.
I do not want to do anything haphazardly, I prefer to take my time to do some research before spending my hard earned cash on components.
