Transgo Shift kit for RE4R01A auto trans.

Has anyone tried a TransGo shift kit to help cure some of the auto transmission woes? I've used there kits on GM trannys with good results.

Heres what they say it does.

1988up 4 speed with or without lockupCorrects/Prevents/Reduces: Planetary burnup; 3rd clutch failure; forward clutch burnup Soft 1-2 shift; 2-3 cutloose; Band burnout and low lube flow causing overheating and total burnup

sounds intresting. Haven't gotten prices yet. will post prices when i find out.

What are you looking to do? extend the life of your transmission or get more performance out of it?

All a shift kit does is replace the existing valve configuration with ones that allow more fluid through for higher pressure and a firmer shift. It sounds like this company is just telling you what happens when thos valves go bad. I hope that helps a little.
